Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the provider that supplies its results. Franklin County Residents Directory does not retain those queries on its own servers. If you contact us, we use the information in your message to respond.
Automatically Logged Data
Hosting services may create standard logs containing IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use limited operational information to run the service, repair issues, measure general traffic, and improve reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to Franklin County and Ohio portals, library collections, archives, or outside search services. The receiving service's privacy policy governs information submitted there. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or as otherwise required by law.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no site accounts, so Franklin County Residents Directory does not keep visitor passwords or user profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent us information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by a website. Research did not identify a general Ohio consumer deletion statute that replaces a custodian's process. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page. Ohio, Franklin County, and city public records remain under the control of their actual custodians.
Policy Updates
Any revised policy will appear here. Continued use after publication of a revised version signifies acceptance of that version.
